Our friends' trip to Ireland fishing turned out to be a costly mistake as they ended up spending a week on the water instead of actually fishing for their desired species. I was blown away by the compact rod Rigged and Ready travel rods ticked all boxes for me - I wanted a sturdy rod that would fit easily in my backpack and was just waiting for the perfect adventure on my motorbike. Smuggler 7 came highly recommended, but what really put it over the top was its exceptional feel, nice action, and impressive build quality.

I opted for the middleweight version to ensure it would hold up in a rucksack and decided that this rod did just the trick. I've been using it on a regular basis now and have had some incredible results - plenty of chub and perch to start with, but still waiting for my first big catch.
