What are they?. Basically a cut down cricket bat (approx 35-40 cm blade) with full size handle, for training drills, full spec cane handle, English Willow and pressed blade. Why use a fielding bat?. The shorter stumpy shape/profile makes it great for handling with a ball and glove versus a full sized bat and is ideal for quick fire repetitive use in training drills (lots of videos on YouTube).
