This Vintage Penn is a classic instrument for trolling made by Penn Reels in Philadelphia. The reel is offered with a box and instruction bulletin. The box is NOT the original box. This maroon-colored reel is made of durable metal and is designed for right-hand retrieve. With a gear ratio of 2.5:1, this vintage reel from the United States features a star drag system and Penns famous level wind mechanism that keeps the line in order when reeling in that big lunker. This Penn reel has a 20 lbs. line capacity of at least 200 yards making. It has not been used in saltwater, but it could be used to fish offshore for smaller fish. It is ideal for targeting freshwater fish species.
